Eva Hutto Jones "Grandma"

Last week on Monday the boys and I were on the playground when we got the call from Aunt Lauren.  They were trying to get Justin to let him know that his Grandma Jones had gone to be with the Lord. Justin and I are so blessed that the boys were able to meet her and spend time with her.   Grandma Jones sure did love those sweet boys.  I hear she read this blog and showed off the pics of these boys any chance she got.    She was a great Christian woman, in fact, she took communion the day she passed.

Grandma was born in Defuniak Springs in 1922.  She was a military wife and Justin's grandfather had passed when he was in junior high. We traveled home on last week for her services and to spend time with the family.  The pastor had a great message and I think she would have loved it.  She led a long, full life.  She lived passionately and enjoyed going, shopping, getting her nails done, and spending time with her friends and family.  Even to the end.  She had just gotten her hair and nails done - didn't miss a week :-)  As he pastor said, its okay to miss her and its okay to morn but there is no need to fear death or fear for Eva.  She is walking the streets of heaven and most importantly as the song played at her funeral "back in babies arms" reunited with her beloved husband.

Psalm 23

A psalm of David. 1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
 3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
   for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
   through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
   for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
   they comfort me.
 5 You prepare a table before me
   in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
   my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
   all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
   forever.
