Fall Festival Fun

This year the boys are finally getting old enough to enjoy some of this fall holiday fun.  Fall Festivals!  We were so excited for weeks about the fall festival at the boys school.  We sent our donation of trinkets weeks in advance.  The boys were told to send their costumes and that they made very special treat bags.

I was fortunate to be able to leave work early to attend although Justin was out of town.. I soon found this to be quite challenging!  2 toddlers in a sea of children made me panic many times and resulted in me occasionally dragging a child :-)

When I got there they already had them in the their costumes and waiting on me in the classroom.  We headed out for fun and made a quick stop at the "photo opportunity"

Then we headed for the games.  Beckett was not happy.  Eli played the games with some encouragement but mainly Beckett aka Cookie Monster just buried his sweet head in my leg.  I will say in his defense that is was overwhelming.  There were lots of "big kids" there and they were running wild and the boys could not stop staring at them.

Eli did get brave and hit the slide.. Beckett not so much.

Then we headed to watch Eli would call the "scary animals" Seriously!  Eli is always and once again was terrified of the animals.  We are talking rabbits, goats, baby deer, and donkey.  Which he said "no hee haw no hee haw".  Beckett LOVED the animals.  He pet the donkey and the goats tried to nibble him which he thought was funny.  Eli was having such a melt down in the petting zoo that I drug him out and left him on the outside of the bars crying and went in to let Beckett have some fun.

And the most fun?? Getting back to our classroom and checking out our "loot"!  Our favorite?  Plastic blacks spiders which we love in the bath tub yeah!

The same weekend we visited a church fall festival near our house with our neighbors.  Kara and her twin girls and the boys and I all headed together.  We certainly get looks when we are together with the 4 of them!  The girls are so good with the boys and they want to be just like them!  At this fall festival we played a few games but mainly it was about the JUNK FOOD.  Everything was $.50 so the boys were hooked up with 2 snow cones, 2 bags of popcorn, cotton candy (our favorite) and our first hot dogs ( which were loved way to much).

What a great season for the boys to enjoy.  The weather gets nice, fall festival fun, birthdays, Halloween, and then we roll right through the holidays.  Life is good, God is GREAT!
