A Visit At Poppy & Dee Dee's House

The boys LOVED their time spent at Poppy and Dee Dee's house.  We were never short on things to do!  Here is what we were up to at their house.

Riding our new tractor.. okay. Funny stuff this tractor is.  They boys legs are not quite long enough to push the pedal comfortably.  Their favorite part was riding in the cargo carrier (way exceeding the weight limit of that little thing) so either I drove them on rides or Poppy got creative with the mop handle!

Playing in their sand and water table... big times in the sand and water.. whew.  Big times :-)

The playhouse!  Cooking for us, serving up yummy stuff playing house with all of us.  It was fun!

Playing on my parents playground (swings and slides) which happens to be right by THE COWS!! Quite possibly our favorite part of the visit.  Feeding the cows (whatever sweet feed Eli wasn't eating!!!)

OUR FIRST FISHING TRIP!  Yes.  The first one.  Okay, so we had no idea how hard it would be to take two 18 month old toddlers fishing.  Thank goodness Dee Dee, Poppy, Mommy, and Daddy went too!  The boys first went with Daddy and Poppy to the bait shop.  Then we grabbed the cane poles, packed snacks, coolers, diapers, and loaded up the stealth to head to the Poppy's new pond.  The first time anyone had even fished in it.  The fishing was great.. throw it in, out the fish came.  So here is the funny stuff.  We are sitting fishing and we hear a "plunk" thinking its a fish.. nope, its Eli kicking his boot off in the water!  We were able to fish it out with a pole.  Shortly later Dee Dee hears a "plunk" Beckett's tennis shoe was in the water.. here comes the fun stuff!  Poppy puts down his pole to get down to fish out the shoe and a real fish grabs on to the hook.. it starts pulling and in goes Poppy's fishing pole!  Poppy jumps in and gets the pole!  Swims out with a fish on the end.  We are DYING laughing.  After this, Eli has one thing on his mind.  Throwing things in the water for Poppy to get!  Justin broke his pole too which led to TONS more laughing.  An unforgettable fishing trip for sure.

The bunny rabbit that lives on the back porch. Eli picked him up by his ears. Beckett loved playing with his cage. Eli tasted the bunny food (he spit it out.. not a fan!)

Whee Whee!  The "ride"  Dee Dee got them started on riding the Cozy Coupe on the trailer (golf cart trailer) in the front yard.  They LOVED it!!  Even after we went inside, they would stand at the window and say "ride ride" and cry to go back out.

There were so many special moments from the visit, late night talks with my brother, AMAZING dinners (crab cakes, steaks) with my Ma at our house, helping my sister with her homework, the boys singing on the karaoke machine (I wish I had video), lunch at Sisters (they ate a pound of carrot souffle!), and lots and lots of naps.  The boys had so much fun!  We are SO BLESSED to have such sweet family and such sweet memories.
