The 80's Are Back!
This Saturday, Spring arrived at the Riley house in Texas. 80 degree weather.. yes, 80's and sunny! Like people swimming, tanning, shorts, flip flops.. I even saw a woman at Walmart with a bathing suit top on and cute off jeans.. well .. ok. So maybe that isn't the best sign of spring :-)
We splurged and had our yard done for spring cleaning this week. Guttters cleaned, hedges trimmed, weeds, edging, mowing, mulching, and cleaning. It looks amazing! Pansies are blooming and everything is green (and covered in a thick layer of yellow). Saturday afternoon the Riley grandparents were here and we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon outside.
I stopped by Toys R Us and picked up a Tball set that I saw advertised on sale. I knew the boys would love it! Here is when we first opened it up inside.
I also got a great deal on a slip and slide! We filled up the baby pool thinking with water and toys thinking they would just play with their toys on the edge in the water. Ha! Beckett crawled and dived in head first. FREEZING water.. but they didn't care at all. After a "swim" they warmed up in towels in the sun.. and were ready to play again. I enjoyed the afternoon and relaxed in my chair (grandparents definitely are in town if I get to do that!).
Beckett has yet to have his first hair cut and his curls just make my heart melt. Love them. They are so precious. We are debating a future "shape up" but none scheduled yet. Its just too cute.
Don't you think its was a perfect day to sit under a shade tree with your grandpa?
Justin and kept saying how much fun this summer is going to be!! Yeah! Bring it on.. the boys are going to have so much fun (oh.. and mom and dad too :-)
