We are sick.. again

My little guys.  Their poor parents.  We are sick again!  Welcome to daycare .. right?  Well they are getting good at immunity building for sure.   2011 and has been tough on my babies (and us).

We had 1 great week (the week before last) where we made it to school every day.  Other than that we have been out 2 to 3 days each week since the new year  started.. sick.  My pediatrician says this is one of the worst years she can remember.  EVERYTHING is going around.

Fortunately our flu has always been negative and thank goodness that we vaccinate because a kiddo in their class was diagnosed with whooping cough.  I mean.. I honestly debated the vaccinations at one point but with kids in daycare it can be really dangerous.. now with all those dang unvaccinated kids out there :-)

Justin and I have been taking turns keeping the boys at home.  I am BLESSED that he has the kind of job that can be flexible in scheduling and doing calls & computer work from home.

I did get to stay home one day this week and they were so sick that it took both of us because poor Beckett cried all day and you could not put him down.  Diagnosis.. strep.  Poor guys.

I'm sick mom.. I feel really bad.

We tend to get insanely bored at home all day especially when its cold so I looked online for some great stay at home mom ideas and one was to put an air mattress in the house for them to "jump" on. Perfect.  We have one of those.  So out it came.  Beckett was so sick he did not enjoy it the first day.. especially when Eli tried to wrestle him.. but he loved sleeping there on and off!  Now that we are feeling a little better.  This has become a favorite activity.  Eli loves to roll all around, bounce balls on it, jump, and practice his somersaults!

I also let them "swim" in my big tub.  Normally we take tub baths in their tub and they sit in rings.  But I thought, why not.  They LOVED it.  Tupperware and empty solo cups make awesome tub toys.

We are on the mend and feeling better but still a long way from well.  Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers for a "healthy household!"

Love,
