Meeting Our Sisters and Our New Doctor

On Thursday, the boys were 1 week old. We introduced them to their big sisters who had been anxiously awaiting their arrival. We left the puppies out on Wednesday because it was so crazy in the house since we got home so late. We wanted to wait until things calmed down a little so we could have an introduction. I have to say they did better than I expected. Very curious and sniffed and licked but they were very gentle with them.

Oyster is like a little mother. She gets really upset when they cry. She cries and comes running to where you are. I find her laying on the bed beside the pack and play just watching. When you feed she wants to lay right beside you. Raleigh has been mildly curious. I few sniffs here and there and licks to the back of the head but overall, she could care less. The boys are in a pack and play in our room and last night the girls slept on their beds in the floor. We had all 6 of us in the room and I just layed their thinking how good God is. What a wonderful feeling to have everyone safe and taken care of and together again.

Thursday we went to our first pediatrician appointment. She was recommended by our friend that has twin girls. Dr. Belinoski with Texas Children's Pediatrics. We were really impressed with her and her office. She had a well baby waiting room and we only waited about 5 minutes before they took us back. The boys did not like being weighed at all. They both had to get another Bili test (jaundice) to monitor their levels and of course I cried. I just can't stand to hear them cry and scream. By the time we got to the car they settled back down but mom cried all the way home. Hopefully that will get better as they hormones settle down but I have always been a crier so I doubt it. Boys checked out great. Need to work on putting some weight on them so we have increased their feedings and shortened the time between so hopefully by the next visit they will be back at birth weight. We feel blessed to be under such good care.
